Very Good Gas Furnaces

Energy Star

92.1% AFUE Single Stage

What does having an 92.1% Furnace mean?

Furnaces are measured using AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency). The higher the AFUE rating the more energy efficient your system is and the lower your energy costs will be.

For example. The Frigidaire 90% line of furnaces will deliver a minimum of 90% efficient heat. Compare this to an older furnace that may only deliver 50% efficiency. The Frigidaire 90% technology is all about saving you money for years to come.

What is AFUE?

It measures the amount of heat actually delivered to your house compared to the amount of fuel that you supply to the furnace. Thus, a furnace that has an 80% AFUE rating converts 80% of the fuel that you supply to heat - the other 20% is lost out of the chimney.
